IRONY! Barbara and her husband, David, are sophisticated and successful art gallery owners living in Manhattan. They are loaded with both class and cash. Barbara's sister, Trudy, is at the opposite end of the spectrum. Living in the suburbs with her bland husband Martin, Trudy has always played it safe, raising a college-age daughter, and now caring for her widowed mother Sophie.
When a crisis with their daughter causes Martin and Trudy to rush to Buffalo, the acerbic Sophie comes to stay with Barbara and David with hilarious results! Will Sophie’s dour outlook be sweetened when aging painter Maurice crosses her path?
