At last, film nor meets queer cinema. On the mean streets of Philly, a closet-case insurance adjuster named Michael (broodingly handsome Michael Molina) discovers that his estranged twin brother Kyle has gone missing. Already on the case is Abigail (vampy sexpot Jessica Graham), a no-nonsense lesbian private eye who does all her work in a slinky cocktail dress. And on this particular case, her work include gun battles, car chases, and a steamy ladies room rendezvous, which is when the cocktail dress comes closest to removal. For Michael, looking for Kyle soon means becoming Kyle, who as it turned out, was a famous but reviled gay photographer, humiliating his models for pleasure, and ordering his houseboy/assistant to call him Master. Everyone wanted Kyle, but everyone hated him… and that means everyone is a suspect. With a cache of Kyle's most recent photos, the mismatched gumshoe duo track lead after lead – from a remote mountain cabin where a muscled-up stud sunbathes nude to the eerie underbelly of a parking garage, where a killer threatens to strike. Along the way, the pair trade jaded barbs and family secrets, and their comically crackling rapport is one of the film’s biggest draws. Indeed, this is cinema's first-ever pairing of a gay man and a lesbian in the leads. Packed with explosive action and enough explicit steamy action for both genders of homo, 2 Minutes Later is an edge-of-your-seat whodunit caper, a happily queer CSI: Philadelphia.
Director Robert Gaston and principal lead Jessica Graham will attend the screening to discuss the film with the audience.
