There are many dysfunctional Blumenthals in this screwball Jewish comedy: the recently deceased playwright, egotist Harold Blumenthal (played with aplomb by Brian Cox), his mentally and physically constipated brother, Saul, and his neurotic nephew Ethan. Add to this meshugganah mix: Saul’s love-starved wife, Cheryl. An amusing first feature from a brilliant young writer/director, Seth Fisher, who also stars as the romance-challenged yet ever-likeable Ethan. Note: Sexual content.
