An old poet -- washed up -- once famous, now lives alone. His wife is dead, his daughter doesn't like him, he has few friends. His health failing and with little time left, he begrudgingly picks through his past, not sure how to make up for his many mistakes. In the forests, by the river, in town and in the graveyard; through strangers and family and distant memories, he looks for forgiveness, hoping to find a few last moments of peace.
