We’re thrilled to welcome you back to the theater to experience new films in a small group experience. With safety as our top priority, we will be operating at a significantly reduced capacity, with each screening's total capacity limited to one party of up to ten guests.

Please note that you must purchase all desired tickets in the same transaction. Tickets are $7.50 for Amherst Cinema Members or $10.75 for non-Members. Members, be sure to sign in to unlock your Member rate. At this time, no passes can be redeemed for these screenings.

Cinema Seminar - Queer Horror: The Ifs, Ands, and Butts

Queer Horror: The Ifs, Ands, and Butts offers a survey of the topic in film and pop culture, presented with one-of-a-kind expertise from Anthony Hudson, the artist and ghoul behind Queer Horror—the only LGBTQ horror screening series in the country—at Portland, Oregon's Hollywood Theatre.

Utilizing his skills as a horror host, film programmer, and frightening clown his-slash-herself, Anthony reaches across films like NOSFERATU to the CHILD'S PLAY franchise to demonstrate that not only is queer horror not a subgenre, but that the overarching genre of horror itself is and always has been intrinsically queer.

This ticket package includes admission to both the 7:00 seminar and the 8:00 screening of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2: FREDDY'S REVENGE.
