Calliope Creative Foundation
Presents:
Nat Turner’s Last Struggle: Finding
His Way Home
Nat
Turner’s Last Struggle: Finding His Way Home, explores the rise of Nat Turner,
the man who set out to lead his people out of bondage and the searing pit of
dehumanization. His arduous struggle led him and followers to roam plantations,
taking the lives of 58 white Americans--including women and children. He set
out to seek justice for the suffering his people had painfully endured.
Understanding that all life is sacred and equally valuable in God’s eyes,
Calliope is staging a RERUN of the play, hoping to inspire its audiences--transcending
racial, ethnic, religious, and gender lines--to unite in their collective
resolve to push back on the hatred and violence currently sweeping the shores
of this nation and the world alike
