The Mark of Zorro

 

Renowned organist and silent film accompanist Clark Wilson of the Ohio Theatre accompanies the 1920 silent Western romance film The Mark of Zorro on Riverside’s famed Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ as part of the annual King of Instruments Summer Organ Series.

 

Based on the 1919 novel The Curse of Capistrano, The Mark of Zorro follows the daring story of Don Diego Vega, who disguises himself as the masked avenger Zorro to fight tyranny and injustice in Spanish California.

 

This concert will be preceded by a Laura Spelman Rockefeller Memorial Carillon recital, played by Lynnli Wang of The Riverside Church.
