April 26 - Saturday at 7:30 p.m. - Scheduled to show on 35mm film - On sale for members 3/19, on sale for the general public on 3/26 at 1 p.m.
What it is: A notorious, aging, retired gunslinger and outlaw takes on one last bounty to save his family and failing farm. Joining with an ambitious young gunslinger and an old partner, the one-time killer has to forsake his now peaceful ways to face off against the cruel sheriff "Little Bill" Daggett.
Why we're showing it: Unforgiven is considered one of the greatest Westerns of all time, winning Academy Awards for director/star Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman, as well as winning Best Picture overall. Exploring themes of violence and redemption, the film is a fitting end to the many cowboy characters played by Clint Eastwood over his storied career.
