Description

Documentary film directed by José Luis López-Linares and co-produced by the Museo del Prado on the occasion of the anthological exhibition held between May and September 2009.

The great master of light is revealed in the privacy of the rooms of the Prado Museum, a place where he always dreamed of showing his work. The family, the light, the trips and all its plastic production, shown to the spectator in an orderly and harmonious way by the halls of the museum.

Driven by some exceptional guides, the best experts in Sorolla's work will show us the most exciting face of life and work of what was considered a great ambassador of Spanish culture in America.

"The emotion of nature" tells us about Sorolla's life through old family photographs, to which the painter was a great aficionado. He also serves the director of some of the paintings in which he portrayed scenes from his own life. Filmed in high definition, the film traces the artist's work, showing us his paintings in great detail at the same time a narrator interprets them.

A perfect documentary to understand the art of Sorolla, the last great master of the Prado.
