Evening Sail to Kettle Island with Mass Audubon

Description

Schooner Adventure is excited to announce our first collaboration with Mass Audubon. We will be offering an evening sail out of Gloucester Harbor and head to Kettle Island, one of Mass Audubon’s sanctuaries, which hosts a large colony of nesting colonial waterbirds (snowy and great egrets, glossy ibis, little blue heron, and black-crowned night heron). During the sail, guests will learn about the schooner, the maritime and natural history of the area, and enjoy watching birds coming into the island for the evening. We will pause off Manchester-by-the-Sea and enjoy a light dinner and refreshments (local beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks). Mass Audubon naturalists and Schooner Adventure docents will be on board to share their knowledge with guests.

Mass Audubon is taking all reservations. Please call 978-887-9264 to register.
RAIN DATE: August 25, 2019
