May 7 - Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. - This free screening is a fundraiser for the Imagination Library of Johnson County. Admission to this event is free, but donations are encouraged. Donations can be made directly to the Imagination Library of Johnson County here. 100% of the donations will go toward providing books to children under the age of 5 living in Johnson County. The suggested donation is $10 for adults and $5 for children under the age of 12. This is not a ticketed event.
What it is: The Library That Dolly Built examines the history, impact and future of America's largest nongovernmental children's literacy program. Dolly Parton is at the center of the film, which tells the story of her foundation that distributes over a million books each year. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show to start at 7. The evening will conclude at 8:30 p.m.
