San Francisco Ballet presented America's first complete performance of NUTCRACKER in 1944, and today, SF Ballet's NUTCRACKER is enjoyed by over 75,000 people each December. Helgi Tomasson's production is danced to Tchaikovsky's timeless score and includes over 150 costumed characters – from Clara and the Nutcracker Prince to Mice, Fairies, The Snow Queen, and more. The Ballet's larger-than-life designs include a christmas tree that grows to over 30 feet tall, and 600 pounds of "snow" at each performance.
