A Shape of Things to Come

Description

A Shape of Things to Come is a provocative portrait of a loner named Sundog who lives on the border in the Sonoran desert. The film creates a world that stretches from the distant past, to the ecological movements of the 1960’s, to a possible apocalyptic future. Sundog has a Zen/rock n roll sensibility —everything he does is of surprising interest. Each frame of this carefully put together documentary contributes to a double-edged portrait of Sundog: succinct, suspenseful and mysterious. With stunning photography and imagery of the natural world of the desert. ~ Arnie Malina, VTIFF programming committee
