Description

Join us at the beautiful Truro Vineyards to celebrate a significant milestone for two film artists who have deep ties to Provincetown and our Festival: producer Christine Vachon and writer/director/producer Daniel Minahan. Their collaborations began with the landmark independent film I SHOT ANDY WARHOL, which Christine produced and Dan co-wrote. Twenty-five years later they have partnered again to create the new Netflix series HALSTON, with both serving as Executive Producers and Dan directing all five episodes. Separately and together they have created some of the most important and celebrated film and television projects of our lifetime.

It’s with great pride that we raise our glasses and honor these two independent icons with special cocktails, Truro vineyard wines, and gourmet nibbles from Blackfish Restaurant.

Christine Vachon co-founded the impactful independent film and television production company Killer Films with Pamela Koffler in 1995. Killer’s Oscar-winning films include BOY’S DON’T CRY and STILL ALICE. Their rich catalog also includes Todd Haynes’ CAROL, I’M NOT THERE, FAR FROM HEAVEN and DARK WATERS along with his Emmy winning miniseries MIDRED PIERCE for HBO.

Daniel Minahan’s credits are equally awe inspiring: Six Feet Under, Deadwood, The L Word, Big Love, Grey’s Anatomy, True Blood, Homeland, House of Cards, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, Hollywood, Ratched, and Game of Thrones. Daniel has played a huge role in shaping what we now call premium cable and appointment television.
