The TYRANNICIDES
An original play by Michael
Bluejacket
THE TYRANNICIDES tells the Ancient Greek tale of the brave lovers who founded the first democracy. In this story, a famous poet, a champion wrestler, a seasoned courtesan, and a priestess-in-training prepare to represent their homeland at an Olympian festival. As the friends look beyond the glamour of the event, they uncover an insidious plot against their city. Forced to set aside their thorny romantic histories, they come together to change civilization for the rest of time.
Written by Michael Bluejacket, THE TYRANNICIDES is the first-ever theatrical retelling of the Ancient Greek story of the same name. This is a COMMUNITY BENEFIT PRODUCTION, and all proceeds will go to the Riverside Food Pantry!
