Fossil fuels provide an important resource to meet our energy needs. However, fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas present environmental problems starting with their extraction and going all the way through to their use. In this lesson students will dive into the fossil fuel formation process, and learn how these non-renewable resources are extracted from the ground.
