What it is: The Harvey Girls were women who went west to serve as waitresses at the pioneering chain of Harvey House restaurants in the Old West. The Harvey Girls tells their story through a Technicolor Judy Garland musical.
Why we're showing it: Featuring the talents of Judy Garland, Angela Lansbury, Cyd Charisse and Franklin favorite Marjorie Main (amongst others), The Harvey Girls is a classic Hollywood musical with an Academy Award-winning song in "On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe."
