March 11 - Saturday at 2:00 p.m. - This film is a members-only screening, open to Artcraft members and their guests. - Scheduled to show on 35mm film.
What it is: A naive, wealthy woman elopes with a handsome playboy, only to later suspect that his entire background may be lies - and that he may have dangerous motives.
Why we're showing it: As a thank you to the Artcraft members, we're showing one of Alfred Hitchcock's lesser-seen films. Suspicion features a racheting tension, with a rare villainous turn from Cary Grant. It also has the only Academy Award-winning performance in a Hitchcock film, with star Joan Fontaine winning Best Actress in 1941.
