May 5 and 6 - Friday and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. both days. Scheduled to show on 35mm film.
What it is: A riotous black comedy, Arsenic and Old Lace is the story of a newly-wed writer who discovers his spinster aunts are actually serial murderers. He attempts to hide this fact from his new spouse, the police, and another murderer come to visit.
Why we're showing it: Arsenic and Old Lace is an Artcraft favorite, pairing legendary Frank Capra with Cary Grant. A film adaptation of the wildly successful Broadway play, it brings several of the stage stars (Josephine Hull, Jean Adair and John Alexander) and pairs them with the star power of Grant, Priscilla Lane and Peter Lorre.
