JULY 20th: MYANMAR'S KILLING FIELDS
Nobel Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi was seen as Myanmar’s hope. Now, she’s accused of standing by as the country’s military waged a brutal campaign against Rohingya Muslims. FRONTLINE tracks down secret footage and talks to the victims of a campaign the United Nations has described as having the “hallmarks of genocide.”
ABOUT THE FILM SERIES
The Allyship & Film series is a curated selection of thought-provoking short films, followed by cross-cultural conversations facilitated by relevant professionals in Fort Wayne. Each film is carefully curated to reflect nuances of diversity and experience right here in our community! YWCA Northeast Indiana considers “allyship” as the act of supporting marginalized individuals or groups. Storytelling is a powerful tool in creating understanding and fostering allyship. YWCA is so excited to be collaborating with Cinema Center in this engaging opportunity to develop allyship in our community.
