Filmed in Burlington—you will absolutely recognize some of the settings if you’re a local—Pomp & Circumstance is a freewheeling, episodic lo-fi comedy, following three soon-to-be college graduates getting involved in an absurd plot involving their adjunct professor running for mayor. Directed by former Burlingtonian Adrian Anderson and Patrick Gray, it’s both a loving tribute and sarcastic send-up of ’60s underground filmmaking. It stars Ben Loftus, Noah Brockman, Isabel Zaia, and Pat Malone. Shot on 16mm, it premiered and won the audience prize last summer at the Tallahassee Film Festival and has been on the festival circuit ever since to positive reception. Following both screenings, there is an in-person Q&A with the filmmakers.
