What it is: A sweeping epic covering the life of a Texas cattle rancher, his bride from the east, and his upstart rival as they experience a changing America.
Why we're showing it: With stars Rock Hudson, James Dean and Elizabeth Taylor, Giant is a big screen epic allowing three titans of the screen to bounce off each other, navigating class and race as they establish the next generation of Texans. Part of the James Dean Festival, celebrating the storied actor whose career was tragically cut short. Festival passes are available here.
All showtimes begin with the national anthem and a classic cartoon. Evening regular series showtimes start with an approximately 15 minute preshow with prize drawings, plus the anthem and cartoon.
