March 15 - Saturday at 2 p.m. Scheduled to show on 35mm. This show is available to members only, as a thank you for supporting The Historic Artcraft Theatre.
What it is: Truman Burbank lives an idyllic life, unaware that the reality around him is wholly constructed - as his whole life is a popular television show being broadcast to the outside world.
Why we're showing it: A thought-provoking film with many deep themes, The Truman Show was also a wildly successful film at the box office. Jim Carrey's breakout dramatic performance is matched by Ed Harris's Academy Award-nominated role as the show's director. Legendary director Peter Weir was also nominated for directing the film itself.
If you are feeling unwell or have been in contact with a sick individual, for the safety of others, please do not attend. Refunds are available for illnesses - please contact the Will Call office by phone or email.
Effective June 1 2022, the Artcraft is instituting a 3% fee on credit card orders to cover the cost of credit card company fees.
