Taft Gardens & Nature Preserve invites you to the celebration of its 5th annual Art in Nature Residency with a Free-but-Ticketed Daytime Opening Exhibition from 10am-2pm on Saturday April 26, 2025.
Our residency program provides creative professionals across all mediums with a unique opportunity to develop new works within the inspiring natural setting of Ojai’s secret garden hidden in the mountains above Lake Casitas. Residents are encouraged to engage deeply with the environment, drawing inspiration from the diverse natural resources on the property. Join us to witness the remarkable results of their creative exploration.
This is an "Open-House" style event that starts at 10 am and ends at 2 pm. Guests must arrive by 1 pm in order to participate.
Guests will park at the Visitor Parking, start at the Welcome Kiosks & Gift Shop and walk through the Botanical Gardens to the Studio Garden to meet the artists and see the Opening Exhibitions. If you or a member of your group has mobility restrictions please contact us ahead of time to coordinate special parking or golf cart transportation.

To ensure we can accommodate as many guests as possible, we ask that ticket seekers select ONLY ONE event to attend:
- Free Daytime Art in Nature Exhibition Opening
- or the Evening Opening Exhibition, Fundraiser Dinner & Performance
All Artist-In-Resident Exhibitions will be viewable at both events.
