We're a nonprofit San Francisco Bay Area group of professional musicians and engineers.  With a passion for how music, sound effects, and visual media come together to tell stories, The Grand Feature Film Orchestra presents creative original and restored film scores live with the movie perfectly synchronized with the action on the screen.

Pulling from legendary classic cinema, the GFFO brings historic world-premiere performances mixed with modern flavors to ensure an exciting and unforgettable live concert experience.

 
In addition to our professional presentations, the GFFO provides free training for aspiring students from high school  to advanced college level in film scoring, live performance and engineering. We're dedicated to steward and empower projects that foster community and civic participation and facilitate cultural engagement and free expression.

We're committed to advancing creative connections in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (S.T.E.A.M.) through student projects in collaboration with professional artists and engineers.

Our professional performances, along with your generous support, helps us to fund these projects.
