What it is: A journalist conducts an interview with a man claiming to be a vampire, who relates his life dating from the late eighteenth century. His journey takes him from New Orleans to Paris to San Francisco, encountering various creatures of the night - including the dread Lestat.
Why we're showing it: Interview with the Vampire was phenomenon upon release, introducing the movie-going public to Anne Rice's signature character, the vampire Lestat. Tom Cruise plays a rare villainous turn, alongside leads Brad Pitt and Kirsten Dunst, in a richly gothic tale of romance, bloodlust and regret.
