Repo Man (1984) is a cult sci-fi comedy about a punk rocker named Otto who becomes a repo man and is drawn into the high-stakes search for a mysterious 1964 Chevy Malibu with a $20,000 bounty. The film follows Otto and his boss, Bud, as they and various other parties—including government agents and a televangelist—chase the car, which contains otherworldly cargo in its trunk. The plot involves conspiracy, sci-fi elements, and social satire as the hunt for the car becomes increasingly strange and chaotic.
