The Lark is excited to host a special screening of the French animated film THE ILLUSIONIST with a pre-show performance by the Bay Area's own man of mystery, magician and mentalist Christian Cagigal.

Cagigal is a Bay Area native, and bi-coastal magician, who has performed across the country, including the Magic Castle in Hollywood, Speakeasy Magick in New York City, is the owner-operator of the San Francisco Ghost Hunt Walking Tour, and has consulted for theater off and on Broadway.

THE ILLUSIONIST (2010)

Magic tricks can't compete with rock 'n' roll in the 1950s, so a French illusionist (Jean-Claude Donda) finds himself touring Scotland's shabby pubs and run-down restaurants. But things brighten for him when he meets Alice (Eilidh Rankin), a girl who believes his powers are real. Together they travel to Edinburgh for a performance, but he doesn't have the heart to reveal that his feats are merely tricks, and risks financial ruin by giving her gifts supplied by his "magic.".
