In honor of the late great Tim Curry, who passed away on August 25, VTIFF is delighted to present The Rocky Horror Picture Show in partnership with Queen City Ghostwalk. We all know the plot: on a rainy night, Brad and Janet stumble on a crazy castle where mad scientist Frank-N-Furter is attempting to build the perfect man with the help of his time-warping, somewhat degenerate sidekicks. A deft pastiche/parody/tribute to old sci-films, Rocky Horror practically created the midnight-movie concept, going from first-run bomb to longest-running theatrical release ever. The key to its success. Curry. His look, phrasing, wit, physicality—he was born to play the role. If you’ve seen it 100 times, see it again; if you’re seeing it for the first time, it’s about time. ~SM
Are you a Brad? A Janet? Maybe Eddie? Come early to see and be seen. You could win a prize in Queen City Ghostwalk's costume contest!
Grab a prop or "Virgin" bag, available for $5 before the show.
Please note: this is not a shadow-cast performance; it’s a movie screening.
Note that your bags will be searched, no items that could damage the theater space or create an unreasonable mess will be allowed in.
