Description

Isaac Bashevis Singer is probably the best-known Yiddish writer of all time. His stories were both translated and inspired by a “harem” of translators, who often had multifaceted relationships with Singer — both professional and romantic. Today, nine of these women tell their stories through intimate interviews and exclusive archival footage.

A discussion will take place after ther film with moderator Dr. Alexandra Herzog, Post-Doctoral Fellow at CAS Core Curriculum and Jewish Studies at The Elie Wiesel Center, Boston University.
