Atlantics

Berry Hill: From Creative Workshop and Beyond

Documentary film Berry Hill! From Creative Workshop and Beyond chronicles the music scene of Nashville's Berry Hill neighborhood. In 1970, Buzz Cason opened a recording studio, Creative Workshop, in Berry Hill, the first in the area. Top artists including Jimmy Buffett, the Doobie Brothers, the Gatlin Brothers, Merle Haggard, Olivia Newton-John, Roy Orbison, Kenny Rogers, Leon Russell, and Dottie West recorded there. Today, Berry Hill hosts 40 recording studios in one square mile including Blackbird Studios and House of Blues in addition to CreativeWorkshop which is still active in its 50th year.
