We’re thrilled to welcome you back to the theater to experience new films in a small group experience. With safety as our top priority, we will be operating at a significantly reduced capacity, with each screening's total capacity limited to one party of up to ten guests.

Please note that you must purchase all desired tickets in the same transaction. Tickets are $7.50 for Amherst Cinema Members or $10.75 for non-Members. Members, be sure to sign in to unlock your Member rate. At this time, no passes can be redeemed for these screenings.

At this time, no passes can be redeemed for these screenings.
CinemaSafe protocols will be in effect, including mandatory masking at all times except while eating concessions in your seat. Our concession stand will be open for touchless, credit card-only sales when you arrive for your film. See our current menu here.

We are delighted to offer a safe and fun way for you to watch movies on the big screen while supporting the Cinema during this unprecedented time. You can either provide your own disc or select a title from our rotating catalog of new release and repertory titles. Simply input a sliding scale price and add your selected rental experience to the cart.

Amherst Cinema is now available for private rentals!
We are delighted to be able to offer a safe and fun way for you to watch movies on the big screen again while supporting the Cinema during this unprecedented time. Bring yourself, your significant other, or your COVID pod, for a screening of your favorite film. Visit the link below to reserve an available date and time and complete the check-out process while agreeing to terms. We will be in touch with you about what movie you want to screen. All rentals are sliding scale starting at $100. Our suggested rate is $250 for Members and $300 for Non-Members.
Groups of up to 10 guests will be allowed.
Rentals will take place in Theater 1, our largest theater.
The rental period is 2.5 hours long. We request that your film selection be less than 120 minutes.
You will be asked to sign a waiver upon purchase of the rental stating that you and your group are currently COVID free to the best of your knowledge. COVID clearance must be affirmed again upon entry at Amherst Cinema.
Here is what we have put in place to help protect you and our staff during the Coronavirus pandemic:
Masks must be worn at all times by guests and staff.
Installation of virus-blocking UV filters and ionizers in HVAC system and bathrooms.
Increased fresh air intake to pull in as much fresh air as possible.
Theaters have isolated HVAC systems. Air in each theater is not co-mingling with other spaces.
Frequent disinfection of “high touch” surfaces like bathroom fixtures and door handles.
Between show disinfection of seat backs, arm rests and bathrooms.
All seats replaced with easy to clean materials.
Please note: If more than 10 people show up for your rental, you risk having your screening canceled with no refund.
