In 1968, Peace Corps veteran David Schickele enlisted his friend Paul Eyam Nzie Okpokam to star in a comedy about a well-educated Nigerian immigrant in San Francisco, resulting in a vibrant snapshot of place and time. But BUSHMAN morphs into documentary when Okpokam is arrested for a crime he did not commit.
